Commented [MT14]: Please review and revise. Please expand on your answer. Are you also validating the tool?
Commented [MT15]: Please review and revise. This answer does not relate to the question. If you had to develop instructions on how to conduct this validation session, what would those instructions be?

Item 1Second purpose of the assessment validation is that we have the enough evidence to support trainer’s
decision.
Item 2
RulesYes or NoIf yes, reason why OR

If no, recommendation for improvement

Valid assessment

Yes X No

The evidence must be valid. This means that it must demonstrate what it claims to. Valid means that the evidence collected:

•                 demonstratesrelevantoutcomesand performance requirements of the Unit of Competency

•                 coverstherelevantbreadthanddepth of the Unit of Competency (including knowledge and skills, dimensions of competency, evidenceguide, etc.)

•                 reflectscurrentindustrystandards

•                 alignstotheappropriateAQFlevel

Authentic evidence

Yes X No

Current evidence

X Yes

No

Because Evidence recent enough to prove that the candidate has up to date skills in the competencies being assessed9By work place observation). Currency may vary across industry areas, so some judgement is required. For example, every industry is a rapidly changing with new technology being used all the time, so a person’s competency in that area would need to be extremely current.

Sufficient evidence

Yes X No

Be sufficient evidence – enough volume of evidence to be able to make an accurate assessment. So one or two work samples would not be regarded as sufficient. However, those same work samples combined with assessor observation, witness testimony and some questioning or process demonstrations will allow a much more accurate assessment to be made

Commented [MT16]: Good.

Commented [MT17]: Please review and revise. I am unable to locate any original or amended assessment tools. What you have listed below are not assessment tools.

Do not reattempt this project until you have actually made assessment tools in TAEASS401B_TAEASS502B and used them to assess real people in TAEASS402B

Commented [MT18]: Please review and revise. Please ensure your modified assessment tools adhere to version control procedures.
