Analyse the internal and external factors involved when planning the workforce/ human resource requirements of an organisation.

  • What is workforce planning and why is it important to an organisation?
  • Explain four significant internal and four significant external factors which must be considered when an organisation is planning its human resource requirements.
  • Provide relevant examples from your chosen organisation.

TASK 2

Describe how the employee skills required to do the jobs in an organisation are identified.

  • Take two different jobs that exist within your chosen organisation.
  • Provide a brief written summary of the various skills needed to do these jobs.
  • Describe how the organisation identifies the employees skills required to carry out jobs in the organisation
