Aim of this essay is to “Discuss the positive and negative impacts of mass tourism and alternative tourism on local communities and evaluate to what extent the tourism can be ‘pro-poor’.

As per the survey done by world tourism organization international tourism is growing at a rate of 4.6 percent and in year 2011 a total 983 million international tourist travelled worldwide.
