Essay topic:Many high profile organisations have - through the media discussed their need to change their "culture". The mining industry, police force, armed forces, building industry and many organisations have cited their need to be diversified, equitable employers.
This essay aims at understanding why changing “Culture” is important for high profile organizations in sectors like Mining, Police, armed forces as well as others. We also discussed how these organizations are looking to change their cultures and why it is needed for a healthy organization. We also deliberated upon why change is necessary for organization who wants to become diverse as well as equitable. We discussed examples from various industries like mining, Armed forces and Police services in which they have openly declared that they want to change so as to become more diverse as well as equitable employers. We also discussed the various benefits of a socially responsible culture which can be generated by organizational change. Then, we moved on to see how important is “culture” to help organization to become more socially receptive. We then concluded by summarizing that a socially receptive organizational culture is the need of hour especially for companies in sectors like mining, land, police and armed forces as these factors reflect the society and they need to be as diverse and equitable as society itself.
