An employment relationship is nothing but a bridge amid the employee and the employer.

Whenever one person under takes certain tasks within the scope of certain conditions than such person is the employee of another. It is only when there is employment relationship there arises obligations and rights amid both the employee and the employer. There are several enactments which govern the employment relationships. Some of the legal enactments are Fair Wok Act 2009, Privacy Act 1988, Social Security Act 1991, Surveillance Devices Act 1998, Superannuation Guarantee Charge Act 1992,

Telecommunications (Interception) Act 1979 etc, are some of the legal enactments that impact the employment relationships. [Department of Commerce, 2013]

Apart from that there are several employment related issues which are governed by employment and labor laws. Some of the issues include discrimination, workplace harassment, equal opportunity etc [Scott & Media].

However, amongst several legal aspects, one of the aspect that is selected and that governs the employment relationships is Fair Work Act 2009.
