This article reports on the call by Peppetmint Grove Shire Council to the tax office to install cameras at a vacant mansion known as The Taj Hall on the Swan which is used by the teenagers for party purposes.

Peppetmint Grove Shire Council chief Executive, John Merrick, has submitted that the responsibility of the homes that are partially built rests with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). The property under the report has been freeze by the ATO for non payment of tax.As per the report the mansion belongs to Oswal family and the family owns $186 million to the ATO. ATO thus freeze the $40million property till the time the dues of the ATO are not settled.ATO is the main body that deals with the taxation issues and concerns in Australia.
Criminal Law
By not paying the taxation dues by the Oswal family to the ATO, they are guilty under the criminal law of Australia. If found guilty, the Oswal family were made liable for prosecution as per the directions of the court for grave breach of violating the directions of the ATO.
