
A case study has been used as reference for ERP implementation process for Rolls Royce and ERP implementation process for the organization has been analyzed in detail. It has been found out that some of the factors are critical to successful ERP implementation process such as the change management, BPR, communication, top management support and expertise team formation.
Managing business organisation in present dynamic business scenario has become very difficult for the present age managers looking at the complexities faced by them. Information systems have emerged as the backbone of any organisation in current generation and success of any organisation depends upon the way information systems are managed in any organisation. The aim of the present paper is to understand design, planning and implementation process for ERP systems which are required in order to integrate various information systems employed in the organisation.
Literature review has been conducted in order to understand various ERP related aspects such as the planning process and design which would help the organisation to understand its need in early implementation stage.
