Community Of Practice

Information professional helps in providing the information to specific audience which can be either in hard form or in electronic form. They work on organizing and storing information. Traditionally, this was done by Library Professionals but since the ways that information can be stored, taken and organized, multiple new employment professions have come up. I have decided to go in the field of Information management and information science. This field asks for Professionals who will organize as well as manage information but are not librarians. They are known as information managers or information scientists who will work in all sorts of companies. Since, globally information has become digitalized, all of these job roles have become highly technical as well as full of challenges. My key tasks will be to develop systems of organizing electronic or/and hard copy-based information in the most effective as well as user- friendly way.My choice interests me due to connect with Information technology which I am quite passionate about. The likely clients will be all those who are inclined to make digital information available to them. All kind of information types are dealt with in the profession of information scientists.
