SAFEGUARDING IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE SECTOR
Safeguarding in health and social care sector refers to the proper monitoring and care giving towards the several older individuals of the society and those residing in the care homes. The residents of the care homes i.e. the elderly individuals often feel abused both physically and mentally. The lack of care giving and ill behaviour towards the numerous service users, by the service providers of the care homes, witnessed by the service users, the safeguarding of the service users i.e. the older individuals residing within the health and social care homes comprises of proper monitoring and care giving by the service providers. The safeguarding of the service users also includes proper utilisation and following of the legislation such as Hasawa act of 1974 and policies like RIDDOR 2013.
The booklet comprises of the existing working practices and strategies of the Orchid view care home in minimising the abuse regarding the health and social care contexts. The application of various legislations and policies, that renders in the safeguarding process of the several service users and residing in the care homes such as Orchid view are also included in the booklet. The booklet also contains the effectiveness of the kind of working practices and in order to safeguard the numerous service users of Orchid view care home.
