1. Is transcendental leadership style important for today’s manager?
The postmodern organizational work culture demands something more than just accomplishments of work and successful business continuation. The employees, managers and the organizational authority need to be ethically connected to produce a healthy work environment. The leadership strategy is one of the most important appliances within an organizational context to carry out a successful business activity (Avolio & Bass, 2010). The relationship between the persons concerned with a particular organization matters in constituting effective organizational plans and it consequently helps increasing productions. A good understanding and maintaining a healthy relationship within an organizational context help the managers and authority avoiding persistent confusion and complication and they can make effective decisions with easy attempts (Hunt, 2012).
Transcendental leadership is a portrayal of maintaining spiritual relational process by which the employees are treated spiritually. Leadership qualities in an organization are something that determines the continuation of work culture. The employees tend to grow interest and at the same time disinterest with the way, the leadership styles are implemented. It is completely up to the managers and their execution of style through attitudes and behaviours on the employees and workers on which commendable organizational outcomes are dependent. The manager of 21st century business environment urgently needs the execution of transcendental leadership styles as it nurtures the fundamental requirement of both the employees and the managers. The leaders practice some certain qualities in the organizations that are followed by the employees and they work in motivating them in their individual attempts. The managers treat the employees with love free of egoism, honesty, extreme trust and camaraderie. The consequence of this results in harmony and integration between the employees and the managers. The employees well respond to the inquisition and specific demands issued by the managers (Eagly & Carli, 2011).
The present business environment is an intense competitive one that needs perfect setting of healthy atmosphere and maintenance of good relational process between the professionals engaged with an organization. The leadership styles work as motivational affair for the employees as they can freely communicate with the managers in terms of any urgency and difficulty (Fernando, Beale & Geroy, 2009). It becomes easy for the managers to make effective business decisions with the help of maintaining healthy relationships. The existence of transcendence in leadership and nurturing of personal and individual aspects can improve the spiritual development in both the managers and the employees. In today’s context, this leadership style is essentially necessary as it helps the organizations substantiating their image in the market wiping out existing problems and conflicts.
Maintaining harmony in an organizational context is necessary that can only be earned from an effective implementation of leadership strategy. Today’s managers badly need to practice selfless concern for people nurturing their personal values, status. An effective leadership is a process of visualising the work culture and maintaining the ethical aspects. The postmodern work culture undergoes continuous competitive market requirements. The managers can be effective in successful continuation of a business when the employees can be contented working with and following them. The employees as well as the followers can even be motivated when they are treated in accordance to their personal desire, convenience with altruistic love, trust and comradeship (Dilmah, 2009).
