Usually a low attrition rate states that the employee are continuing their services in the same organization, whereas a higher rate means that the employees are leaving the organization and are moving to other organization etc. There is no fixed or standard rate in understanding the high or low attrition rates, as it depends on business, industry, trade cycle etc. For example, information technology and automobile industry may face a higher attrition when compared with colleges, institutions or law firms.
